Jack set high standards in developing Quality Control throughout all manufacturing processes to military standards, leaving a legacy of the highest ethical and quality standards we proudly continue to live by and insure in all aspects of our business.
Tektac’s history started from inventions by Jack F. Shearer of the Starline Connector Product Line, a convertible cylindrical electrical connector in 1963 that revolutionized the power connector industry; indexable key connectors; and wire splice devices.
The Company Tektac, Inc was founded in 1971 to provide expert engineering solutions to defense and military industries.
In 2015 Darlene Shearer took over ownership of Tektac, Inc. and is proudly continuing to work with her team of loyal, knowledgeable, family-oriented employees to assure the continued successful tradition and reputation of Tektac, Inc., as a supplier of 100% quality precision parts, with exceptional supplier and customer service at competitive prices and lead times, is maintained at all times.
Darlene developed a new area of the company’s business - precision CNC machining parts and achieved recognition in machinery industry customers for quality service of delivering high tolerance, precision parts.

Darlene has worked in all departments at Tektac for many years overseeing accounting, pricing, purchasing, scheduling, shipping and receiving, production, quality control, customer service, new process, supplying, and management.
